Summer 2025 Updates

Forestry News

way’, Hello. For Ntityix Resources, summer is the season for completing fieldwork. Whether it’s collecting data for our monitoring program, planting seedlings on harvested areas, thinning dense immature stands, locating boundaries for harvest or identifying road locations, you can bet on any given day most of our staff are in the field.

This spring/summer we planted over 578 thousand seedlings, thinned 16 hectares of overly dense pine stands, completed block and road layout on several cutting permits, and collected old forest data form over 50 plots. Our logging, hauling and road building contractors spent the summer near Brenda mine and further west in the Pennask area.  Approximately 20,000m3 of timber was harvested.

This summer yielded a bumper crop of huckleberries. Not only good eating, we now have enough huckleberry seed collected to plant over 10,000 seedlings over the next several years.

Our talks with Tolko continue over the transfer approximately 60,000 hectares of their operating area to Ntityix and WFN.  We are presently sharing information to the required stakeholders and hope to have this completed by mid-summer 2026.
