Winter 2022 updates

Forestry News

way’, Well, the days are getting longer, so nice to see the early signs of spring! This past winter we completed a selective cut in the Peachland watershed just off the Munro Forest Service Road. The objective of this treatment is to reduce the density of the stand by removing most of the intermediate sized trees (which were often diseased or dying) and leaving the largest and patches of the smallest trees.

Later this spring we will be working with ONA and the BC Wildfire Service to conduct a light burn here and in an adjacent Gorman’s block. We’re in the final stages of completing a wildfire mitigation project on WFN lands. When done, a total of 66 hectares of WFN land has been treated this winter.  A big thanks to the Tronson crew who did all the hard work and WFN for making this important project happen.

As we approach summer, we are looking for summer students to work with our crew for the months of July and August.  If you enjoy working outside, rain or shine, and would like to learn more about what Ntityix Resources does, please give me a call or send me an email!
